AQUA by MSC is mineral-enriched water created on board using state-of-the-art purification technology. It is enriched with magnesium and potassium for a crisp taste, available in both still and sparkling varieties.
Guests can enjoy AQUA by MSC, served in a variety of convenient ways:
- Main restaurants: 1 liter glass bottles, served by the glass
- Bars and buffets: By the glass, with refill options available
- Refill stations: MSC Cruises–branded reusable bottles (complimentary for drink package holders), or guests can bring their own water bottle.
Guests with a drink package will enjoy an unlimited amount of AQUA by MSC. Those without a drink package will have the option to purchase AQUA by MSC by the bottle, glass, or refill.
All guests, including those without a drinks package, will continue to have access to complimentary non-mineralized water – available at buffets – on all MSC Cruises ships.

Are beverage packages available on all sailings, fleetwide?
Yes, pre-paid drink packages are available on all MSC Cruises ships, excluding ships sailing in South Africa.
Can I purchase a drink package before my cruise?
Yes, all drink packages can be purchased before your cruise. Discounts may vary based on seasonal offers or special promotions.
I booked with a promotion that included a beverage package. Can I upgrade my beverage package before my cruise or on board?
Yes. You can upgrade to the Premium Extra Package before or during your cruise. If you are booked on a non-US departure, you may have different upgrade options available on board only. Availability will vary by itinerary.
Are gratuities included in the drinks package cost?
Yes. All MSC Cruises' pre-paid and onboard beverage packages include gratuities.
Can drinks packages be used on Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve?
Yes, the Premium Extra Package can be consumed on the Ocean Cay Island and on Sir Bani Yas in Emirates. The island’s beverage offering may not include the full onboard beverage selection. The Alcohol-Free Package is not accepted on private islands. Minors Packages exclusions are connected to the adult's package.
Which packages can be used in Specialty Restaurants?
All packages can be used in buffet restaurants, main restaurants and bars. Only the Premium Extra drinks package can be used in specialty restaurants.
The Minors Package can be used in specialty restaurants if the minor is accompanied by an adult who purcahsed the Premium Extra drink package.
If an adult purchases a beverage package, are underage guests required to purchase one as well?
Yes, underage guests are required to purchase the Minors Package in conjunction with an adult beverage package.
I booked a Grand Voyage or an MSC World Cruise. Is there any beverage package included?

What happens if I have already purchased an all-inclusive beverage package and I request a date after the beginning of summer 2026 season?
If your new sailing date falls after the start of the Summer 2026 season, your existing beverage package will be updated to reflect the new pricing and conditions of the latest all-inclusive offerings.
I purchased my beverage package before October 1st, 2025. What happens now?
New beverage packages will be introduced in summer 2026. Guests who purchased a beverage package before October 1st, 2025, for cruises sailing on summer 2026 onwards, will continue to receive the service associated with their original package. Starting October 1st, 2025, only the new beverage packages will be available for purchase for cruises sailing on summer 2026 onwards.
Premium Extra Package FAQs
What are the differences between the new vs old Premium Extra Package?
As of December 18, 2024 the new Premium Extra Package includes a maximum daily limit of 15 alcoholic beverages. Any alcoholic beverages beyond the 15 alcoholic beverage limit will need to be purchased at full price.
What sailings will be impacted by the new changes?
The new pricing and daily 15 alcoholic beverage limit will impact all sailings as of April 1, 2025.
What happens when I reach my 15 alcoholic beverage per day maximum?
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests, we have updated our Premium Extra Package to include a maximum of 15 alcoholic beverages per day, per guest. This change is designed to promote responsible enjoyment and to enhance the quality of service.
Once you have consumed 15 alcoholic beverages within a 24-hour period, measured from 06:00 AM-06:00 AM, you will be able to purchase alcoholic beverages at the full menu price.

Yes. In line with our responsible drinking policies the daily limit of 15 alcoholic beverages per guest applies to drinks purchased inside MSC Yacht Club.
Is there a limit to how many alcoholic beverages I can purchase at full price after I pass the 15 alcoholic beverages daily limit?
No. Once you exceed the 15 alcoholic beverages daily limit you can continue to order beverages at the full menu price plus gratuities with no restrictions.
Is there a time limit between alcoholic beverage purchases? When does the daily limit reset itself?
No. There is no waiting time between alcoholic beverage purchases. A day is measured from 6 AM to 6 AM, so the limit will reset at 6 AM.
If I order a “double” will that count as one or two alcoholic beverages towards my daily limit?
A “double” alcoholic beverages will count as two beverages towards your daily limit.
Does purchasing a bottle of wine count towards my daily limit?
No. A bottle of wine does not count against your daily limit because it is not included in your beverage package. Only alcoholic beverages included in your package count towards your daily limit.
Are alcoholic beverages ordered from room service menu counted towards my daily limit?
No. Alcoholic beverages ordered from room service do not count against your daily limit because they are not included in your beverage package. Only alcoholic beverages included in your package count towards your daily limit.
Are mini bar alcoholic beverages counted towards my daily limit?
No. Mini bar alcoholic beverages do not count against your daily limit because they are not included in your beverage package. Only alcoholic beverages included in your package count towards your daily limit.
Is the complimentary prosecco given to MSC Voyagers Club members be counted towards my daily limit?
No. The complimentary prosecco will not count against your daily limit because it is not included in your beverage package. Only alcoholic beverages included in your package count towards your daily limit.
If I choose an alcoholic beverage not included in the package, do I pay a full price? Is that alcoholic beverage counted towards my daily limit?
No. Guests who purchase the Premium Extra Package, and who want to enjoy cocktails, spirits and/or wines by the glass that are not included in their package, will pay only the price difference between the package allowance and the à la carte price of ordered beverages. If you purchase an alcoholic beverage valued higher than your package allowance and you only paid the difference in price, that beverage will count towards your daily limit since you used the value of your package allowance and did not pay full menu price for the beverage.
